About the Opportunity
We’re partnering with a boutique fiduciary firm that supports high-net-worth clients and families through complex trust administration and estate settlement matters. This is a high-trust, client-facing seat for a seasoned trust professional who can run accounts end-to-end, interpret trust documents with precision, and confidently navigate settlement workflows, audits, and fiduciary operations.
They’re hiring a Senior Trust Officer to own a portfolio and serve as a steady point of contact for beneficiaries, attorneys, and internal partners. If you’re a meticulous, responsive trust officer, this is built for you.
What You’ll Be Doing- Administer a portfolio of trust accounts end-to-end, including account opening, ongoing maintenance, and account closing
- Lead estate and trust settlement processes, coordinating timelines, documentation, and stakeholder communication
- Conduct annual account reviews, process fees, and manage distributions in alignment with trust terms and fiduciary standards
- Interpret trust documents and apply provisions accurately to real-world account activity and beneficiary needs
- Monitor trust operations and compliance, ensuring adherence to fiduciary principles and internal policies
- Support audits, reconciliations, and regulatory inquiries with clear documentation and strong controls
- Partner with attorneys, CPAs, and internal teams on probate workflows, settlement requirements, and estate-related considerations
- Utilize trust accounting/administration systems to maintain clean records, reporting, and account integrity
- 7+ years of trust administration experience
- CTFA designation preferred
- Strong experience with estate and trust settlement processes
- Working knowledge of fiduciary principles and trust operations
- Proven experience administering trust accounts end-to-end (opening, maintenance, closing)
- Experience with annual account reviews, fee processing, and distributions
- Ability to interpret trust documents and apply them accurately
- Experience handling audits, reconciliations, and regulatory inquiries
- Familiarity with probate processes and estate workflows
- Working knowledge of estate-related tax considerations
- Proficiency in trust accounting and administration systems
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- A senior seat with real portfolio ownership and client trust
