Summary Statement
An incumbent in this class assists and supports the case management function by providing clerical assistance and routine services to clients such as transportation and appointment scheduling.
Selective Requirements- Must have a valid Driver's license.
- Schedules appointments for clients and transports them to required locations (hospital, court, therapy session), provides coaching and assists client; provides support and encouragement to obtain desired outcome.
- Provides office and telephone coverage in absence of case manager and refers problem to appropriate party.
- Visits clients in various environments such as home, school, observing behavior, and reports to Case Manager.
- Prepares and maintains a variety of records and forms required by case manager to provide the necessary services to the client.
- Monitors behavior of child and parents on parental visits and ensures safe interaction.
- May interview and obtain basic information from clients such as dates of birth or social security numbers of family members.
- Coursework, training and/or work experience in health or human services support such as interviewing clients and assessing personal, health, social or financial needs in accordance with program requirements or coordinating with community resources to obtain client services.

Upon a conditional offer, you must undergo pre-employment drug testing as part of the hiring process.
Criminal background check: A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire. The recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.
As a condition of hire you must possess a valid driver's license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The State of Delaware participates in the Federal E-Verify system where it will provide the federal government with each new hire's Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
All new hires are required to report to the Statewide New Employee Orientation (SNEO) on their first day of employment. Sessions are held at designated locations in Kent or New Castle County.
