Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Workers' Compensation Paralegal to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling Delaware workers' compensation cases and the ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision. You will play a key role in supporting our attorneys, communicating with clients, and helping ensure cases move smoothly through the worker's compensation litigation process.
Key Responsibilities- Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Manage discovery processes, including responding to discovery requests, organizing medical records, and maintaining case files.
- Assist attorneys with deposition and hearing preparation, including preparing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
- Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, experts, and opposing counsel.
- Manage case calendars and deadlines to ensure timely filings and responses.
- Prepare settlement documents.
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys as needed.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in workers' compensation practice.
- Proficient in legal research, case management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of IAB procedures and rules..
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Paralegal certification or equivalent education/experience preferred.
