Job Overview

Position:
Non CDL Driver I – delivery of food service products in a company vehicle with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 25,900 lbs. The driver will maintain high service standards, adhere to DOT regulations, and complete all duties safely and timely.

Tuesday–Saturday (Home daily). 5am-6am dispatch until completion (12‑14 hour shifts). $29 per hour; compensation varies with experience, education, skills, location, and legal requirements.

• Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
• Load and unload vehicle for multi‑stop deliveries.
• Transport deliveries by driving assigned vehicles.
• Use hand truck to move product from delivery vehicle into customer location, including stairs.
• Accurately record delivery information using hand scanner and company documentation.
• Document and dispose of any return product.
• Communicate delivery‑customer issues to proper authority.
• Deliver product to each designated stop following the sequence.
• Unload product safely and stage in designated spaces.
• Check invoices, process paperwork, and handle damaged merchandise.
• Collect payments if necessary.
• Monitor vehicle refrigeration system and follow safe food handling procedures.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections (fluid levels, tires, windshield, fuel).
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license issued by state of legal residence with required endorsements.
• No more than two convictions in the past two years for traffic violations, no DUI convictions in past three years, no license suspension in past three years; must pass DOT physical.
• One year multi‑stop delivery experience required or six months local delivery and/or food service industry experience; hand cart delivery experience preferred.
• English reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Pass pre‑employment testing (background check).
• Knowledge of area and map reading abilities.
• Use safe lifting and loading techniques.
• Great interpersonal/customer service skills.

Work requires climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs. consistently, up to 100 lbs. occasionally. Perform primarily outdoors. Must pass DOT physical and work in extreme weather conditions.
