This Emotional Disabilities position provides special education services for students in grades 3–6 in a variety of settings, including the classroom and general education environments.
Students in this program have a wide range of academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs and are supported in developing the skills necessary for success in school and beyond. The program focuses on helping students build self-regulation, coping strategies, communication, social skills, problem-solving abilities, and positive peer interactions.
Instruction emphasizes academic growth, emotional regulation, behavior support, and social-emotional learning within a structured and supportive environment. The program also provides opportunities for students to practice and generalize skills across settings while increasing participation in general education activities alongside their peers.
