£35,579 – £37,452 per year
40 hours per week – Monday to Friday
We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our team based in Ely, Cambridgeshire, within a team of 19 other staff. The role will involve lone working and collaboration with a wider team. It mainly includes carrying out day‑to‑day repairs such as leaking taps, fencing repairs, and kitchen uplifts.
The role of Multi‑Trade Operative- Carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications.
- Install new kitchens, bathrooms, wet rooms, windows, doors and fencing.
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and restocked when needed.
- Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, resolve problems or initiate resolution, and keep customers informed.
- Provide accurate and timely information on the progress of work, easily understood by customers.
- To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical), or Plumbing Level 3, Unvented – G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). Candidates will need to bring original certification; copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation.
- Skills in carpentry or plumbing.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and plan ahead.
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence, as the role requires driving on company business.
