This is a Mechanical Technician role with a growing renewable energy business near Ely, on a four-on, four-off shift pattern.

As a Mechanical Technician you will keep the plant and machinery running across a growing renewable energy operation, working on the equipment that turns organic waste into clean energy. It is varied, genuinely hands-on work, service, repair, maintenance, installation, fault-finding and inspection, on a four-on, four-off, 12-hour shift pattern. Be clear on one thing: this is an outdoor role, with up to 90% of your time spent outside across operational plant areas, often at height and in all weathers.

Job Responsibilities

• Carrying out repairs and maintenance in line with the schedules set by the maintenance managers
• Performing service, repair, maintenance, installation, testing, inspection and fault-finding to a high standard
• Working on motors, engines, augers, conveyors, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics and valves
