Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Elyria, Ohio. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to essential accounting functions in a focused environment. The role is ongoing, requiring onsite work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Responsibilities:

- Process invoices efficiently and accurately to ensure timely payments.

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including data entry and reconciliation.

- Enter billing information into Quick Books with precision and attention to detail.

- Handle a small volume of collections to follow up on overdue accounts.

- Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.

- Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.

- Generate reports and summaries using Quick Books to support financial analysis.

- Assist with general accounting tasks to support the department's operations.

- Communicate effectively with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries. Requirements - Proficiency in Quick Books software is essential.

- Strong skills in invoice processing and data entry.

- Experience in managing accounts payable and receivable.

- Ability to handle collections with professionalism and tact.

- Excellent organizational skills to maintain detailed financial records.

- Strong communication abilities for interacting with clients and team members.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in all accounting tasks.

- Prior experience in a similar accounting role is preferred.
