Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk, Accounting Assistant
Associates degree in business or related field. General knowledge of business practices and procedures. Possess good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Be extremely detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills. Possess the ability to precisely follow detailed written and oral instructions. Precise in performing detailed work.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word applications. Experience with Outlook or similar email software. Possess telephone, clerical and bookkeeping skills. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate fractions, decimals and percentages. Must be familiar with chart of accounts applications for coding purposes. Proficient in operating a calculator, computer, multifunction printer/copier/fax/scanner. Possess strong data entry skills (typing, numerical calculations, etc.).
Must be able to use electronic timekeeping system. Ability to work efficiently in both a team setting and individually.
Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license and access to an insured personal vehicle for work-related travel. Must have a good driving record. Must have a history of satisfactory job performance. Must have a record of reliable work attendance.
Preferred:Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Extensive accounts payable experience with a multi-faceted governmental service operation. Able to cost out and code an expense to several line items within various charts of accounts. Experience with software applications including INFAL and Oracle. Possess a working knowledge of Medicaid.
Exposure to and ability to learn menu-driven financial accounting software.
RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the accounts payable function of a multi-faceted service organization utilizing several fund and charts of accounts; costing out and coding of expenditures.
Maintain satisfactory level of output per unit of time.
Prepares meaningful, concise and accurate statistical reports.
HOURS:Monday – Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Flexible as needed.
SALARY:Level 4
