Job Description
Supporting the Business Growth Services (BGS)– Workforce Team, the position of the Administrative Assistant will include the following responsibilities:
- Create draft agendas, take minutes, and create draft correspondence.
- Answer phones, set appointments for team members, and schedule meetings for partners and others across campus on behalf of team members.
- Track metrics for the team and serve as the first line of assistance for students, apprentices, and employers engaging with the BGS– Workforce Team.
- Handle simple accounting processing and budget management.
- Maintain high proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
This position requires an individual who is highly efficient in managing office operations independently and making proficient decisions in order to keep the functions of the team running smoothly and on an organized schedule. BGS team members may assign other administrative duties that are not listed here.
QualificationsRequired: High School diploma and some college education; experience in an office setting; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet Explorer; excellent listening and composing skills; detail oriented; organizational skills a must.
Preferred: Associate Degree in Business; experience in an academic or business environment; experience with Oracle Cloud a plus.
This is a non-exempt position with a minimum hourly rate of: $18.16
