Job Overview
MSN Nursing Instructor – Program Director, Nursing School – Elyria, OH
Program Leadership and classroom role requiring prior didactic teaching experience.
Responsibilities- Provide didactic nursing instruction to diverse student population in a classroom setting.
- Develop and deliver curriculum aligned with Ross Education standards.
- Serve as a program leader, supporting student success and fostering a high‑quality learning environment.
- Participate in administrative activities related to the nursing program, including record‑keeping and scheduling.
- Travel to affiliated clinical sites as needed to support student clinical education.
- Maintain full‑time, daytime Monday‑Friday schedule with regular working hours.
- Completion of an approved registered nursing education program, MA or higher.
- Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio.
- Five or more years in practice as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
- Two or more years of prior didactic teaching experience in the classroom (clinical experience does not count).
- Daytime availability.
- Adherence to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics.
- In‑person performance; remote work is not permitted.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, move around the classroom building, and facilitate student participation.
- Visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment, use telephone, read materials, use white board, and operate classroom/office equipment.
- Proficiency in current technology for maintaining student records.
- Effective communication in classroom and individual settings.
- Knowledge of subjects taught and ability to communicate Ross curriculum.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames.
- Professionalism in demeanor, dress, and conduct as a representative of Ross and a student mentor.
- Ability to remain objective and treat all students equally.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Clinical coordinators may need to travel to visit clinical sites or attend meetings.
- Prior teaching or formal tutoring experience with a developed curriculum is preferred.
