Position Overview
Reporting to the principal of Early College High School (ECHS), the academic success coach is responsible for:
- Adhering to all Lorain County Community College (LCCC) policies and procedures
- Developing an individualized work plan annually, in consultation with the ECHS principal
- Participating in the assessment of student academic achievement
- Participating in discipline-related activities and organizations
- Supporting the LCCC/ECHS mission, vision and values
The incumbent will:
- Be responsible for all aspects of academic support assigned
- Report student deficiencies and devise plans to help students
- Advise students in curricular and discipline-related matters when appropriate
- Support student achievement by reviewing course syllabi, student grades, and communicating with instructors, students, and counselors
- Be responsible for specific core-subject intervention
This is a ten-month position, approximately twenty-five (25) hours per week.
