Part Time, Children's Learning Center Teacher

Reporting to the Children's Learning Center Manager, the lead classroom teacher will provide care and educational opportunities for children enrolled in the program.

Typical functions required of the classroom teacher:

* To devise and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with the overall program mission and with relevant educational standards

* To prepare materials to support planned activities

* To maintain a guidance plan by utilizing proactive strategies, while encouraging positive social behavior

* To maintain and support a safe learning environment

* To assist with the inventory and proper utilization of supplies and consumables

* To establish and maintain home/school connections

* To utilize and model active listening skills

* To communicate effectively with the children, families, co-workers, and LCCC's faculty/staff

* To be a role model for adult learners assigned to the classroom

* To assist the Children's Learning Center administrators to meet all regulations and program needs
