• Performs routine engineering‑related work requiring the application of educational study and standard techniques and procedures in the manufacturing of Lear Romec products.
• Supervised assignments & projects have clear & specified objectives.
• Work assignments provide students with the opportunity to gain knowledge, understanding & expertise in the areas of Manufacturing/Assembly Engineering (Methods evaluation; CNC and manual machining; Machining and assembly work instructions; Cell design; Fixture design; Cutting tools).

• Assumes Manufacturing Engineering responsibilities under the guidance of a Manufacturing Engineer for projects as assigned.
• Coordinates with representatives of Design Engineering, Supervisors, Quality, and Purchasing to plan and complete projects as assigned.
• Provides support for process development, tooling, systems and process improvements, cell design and layout.
• Prepares, reviews and/or approves process routings, sketches, tool sheets, NC programs, and general process revisions.
• Maintains and communicates an accurate accounting of project status.
• The work output is expected to be consistent with Lear Romec's quality and manufacturing excellence goals and objectives.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Outlook).
• CAD Drafting/3‑D Solid Modeling experience a plus (Pro‑E and/or AutoCAD Preferred).
• NC Programming experience a plus.
• Geometric Tolerancing (GD&T) experience a plus.
• Good oral and written communication skills to effectively present information, write reports and process instructions, and provide support to various functional groups within Lear Romec.
• Work Hours Expectations: 40 hour work week.

  Assess, trouble‑shoot, and support the resolution of technical problems in a timely, cost‑effective manner.
