Overview

Floor Staff are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as variable hour, part‑time fixed, or a part‑time regular. The primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service. Floor Staff may be scheduled to work in the Concession Stand or as an Usher and must represent Regal consistently with the company mission and policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Handling emergency situations when called upon
  • General cleaning duties
  • Compliance with the company dress code
Concession
  • Operate the POS system and manage cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards and redeemed coupons, as well as concession stock inventory.
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
  • Operate, prepare and clean all concession equipment.
  • Engage in up‑selling / suggestive selling.
  • Comply with all local, state and federal food safety laws.
  • Abide by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods.
  • Maintain current alcohol certification and training where applicable.
  • If the theatre sells alcohol, be of legal age and hold the required certifications.
  • Read and understand training materials covering sexual harassment and discrimination.
Usher
  • Process tickets, collect and deposit appropriate stubs, and direct patrons to their auditoriums.
  • Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
  • Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats.
  • Enforce the MPAA rating system.
  • Conduct in‑theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, prevent film theft, and maintain a safe environment.
  • Report any problems, discrepancies or unusual situations to management.
  • Perform in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed by management.
  • Clean auditoriums after scheduled shows and maintain restrooms, lobby area, hallways and other spaces.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and operation of vending equipment.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned by management.
Pay Scale Information

Hourly rate: $14.75.

Benefits

Free movie passes and discounted concessions at any Regal location. Eligibility for a 401(k) retirement plan with company match after attaining age 21 and completing six months of service.

Qualifications

Completion of the cast certification program as a cast member and as a box office cashier, or progress toward completion, is required. If the theatre sells alcohol, you must complete all required state or local training and obtain the necessary certificate, including the Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University.

Education & Experience

Completion or progress toward completion of the cast certification program as cast member and box office cashier.

Language Ability

Good public speaking, effective listening, and clear communication.

Math Ability

Perform calculations with speed and accuracy; identify and correct errors.

Reasoning Ability

Identify problems, gather relevant data, consider possible causes, evaluate information, make evidence‑based conclusions, take proactive action, and perform under pressure.

Personal Skills

Excellent communication with customers, co‑workers, and management; set goals, budget time, and prioritize to achieve desired objectives.

Physical Demands

Must frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger/handle/feel, reach with arms into the shoulder, and talk or hear. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May lift up to 60 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
