COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST Elyria

As the therapist for REACH Behavioral Health, you will make work meaningful for yourself and the lives of the clients you serve. This position will split time between Springfield township and Cuyahoga Falls.

The Community-Based Mental Health Therapist provides therapeutic services to individuals and families through telehealth or outpatient office setting. This position delivers evidence-based mental health interventions to reduce barriers to care and support client stability, functioning, and overall well-being. Services are provided in environments where clients live, attend school, and engage in daily activities.

Position Responsibilities Clinical
  • Collect information about clients through interview,observation, and assessment tools.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
  • Counsel clients, individually to assistin overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes.
  • Act as client advocate in order to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
  • Counsel family membersto assist them in understanding, coping, and supporting clients.
  • Modify treatment activities and approaches as neededonorder tocomply with changes in clients’ status.
Record Keeping
  • Maintain confidential records relating to clients’ treatment.
  • Prepare andmaintainall required treatment records and reports in the requiredtimeframe.
  • Maintain compliance with all laws and regulations governing the practice of counseling, social work and marriage and family therapy in Ohio.
  • Comply withall Agency policies and procedures including CARF.
Collaboration
  • Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
  • Meet with families, probation officers, and other interested partiesin order to exchange necessary information during the treatment process as needed.
  • Refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or tospecialistsas necessary.
  • Attend staff meetings.
Qualifications
  • Ohio licensurerequired

    LSW,LISW,LISW-S,PC,PCCor PCC-S
  • Knowledge of child and family development, individual/group/family counseling techniques, solution-focused, short-term treatment techniques, and mental health diagnoses (DSM-5).
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
  • Good written and verbal skills.
