BLISSFUL LIVING HOME CARE LLC is seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our growing team in Elyria, Ohio. The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for providing direct care and support services to individuals with developmental disabilities in residential and community settings. DSPs assist individuals with daily living activities, personal care, health and safety needs, community participation, and achieving their individualized goals.

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and meal preparation.
• Support individuals in developing and maintaining independent living skills.
• Administer or assist with medications in accordance with agency policies and applicable regulations.
• Monitor and document individual health conditions, behaviors, and progress toward goals.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely, including daily notes, medication records, and incident reports.
• Facilitate community integration and participation in recreational, social, educational, and vocational activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Follow Individual Service Plans (ISPs), behavior support plans, and agency policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, healthcare professionals, and team members.
• Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as required.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and ensure the health, welfare, and safety of individuals served.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in direct care, caregiving, healthcare, home care, or developmental disabilities services preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings.
• Medication Administration Certification (or willingness to obtain certification) preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
