Key Responsibilities /Essential Job Functions
  • Establishes and maintains open communication with all associates, and fosters positive associate relations.
  • Staffing administrator for the Ross companies including screening candidates, scheduling interviews, coordination of pre-hire activities, extension of offers, processing of new hires in the HRIS system, and preparation of onboarding materials.
  • Administers the wellness program (e.g., challenges and events, Ross Health newsletter and HRIS content, wellness updates, tracking of participation, vendor programs, health fair assistance, heart walk, etc.).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
  • Assist and provide support for HR team members as needed.
  • Contribute to the completion of departmental initiatives, assisting team members as needed.
  • Assists with administrative, clerical and project work, as assigned.
  • Daily use of advanced PC and business computer applications, telephone conferencing and e-mail.
  • Understands RES’ ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) and assists with executing its objectives.
  • Performs other job-related duties assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Ulti Pro software experience a plus.
  • Position requires exercise of discretion.
  • Must have the ability to research and analyze various types of information.
  • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, procedures, regulation or government law.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and commitment to quality. Must have extremely high standards of personal and team performance, and must be willing to devote and demand the hours and effort required to meet or exceed those standards.
  • Must possess excellent communication, organization, interpersonal and presentation skills. Must be able to effectively communicate and present information and respond to questions from associates, customers, suppliers or lenders.
  • Physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
