Under general supervision, performs routine and heavy cleaning tasks, including operating high‑speed buffer, waxing, scrubbing, vacuuming, shampooing carpeting, moving office furniture, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, restocking paper items, washing windows, walls, mirrors, and furniture.

• Completion of elementary education, plus 3 months training or experience in institutional custodial work.
• Physical ability to use heavy institutional cleaning equipment or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to carry out detailed oral or written instructions, recognize safety warnings, lift or move office furniture, utilize cleaning materials, communicate effectively, follow simple instructions, and demonstrate dexterity and skill in use of hands.
• Skill in use/operation of floor waxing/buffing machine.
• Compensation is based on qualifications and prior experience.
