Brown & Sharp Setup Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual Brown & Sharp Machine Center.
• Sometimes requires multiple runs on machines simultaneously.
• Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and plan work with engineering standards and methods.
• Check own work against print specifications and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and manage chips to preserve proper positioning; work with close tolerances.
• Work in a self-directed capacity, plan daily work, and may order raw materials from stock.
• Instruct less qualified operators in setup and operation of CNC and manual Brown & Sharp machines.
• Maintain the highest degree of quality, safety and cost reduction.
• Perform these duties and other tasks as requested.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience setting up and operating Brown & Sharp machines.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Consistently meets or exceeds commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
