Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician – Elyria, Ohio

Dura-Line, an Orbia Business, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing process with a primary focus on the extrusion department. The role requires mechanical and electrical maintenance skills.

Shift: 6 am to 6 pm, 2-2-3 Rotation.

• Maintain resin systems, vacuum loaders, handle filter cleaning, and make necessary repairs.
• Maintain support equipment such as tape feeders, spiral units, extruders, vacuum tanks, pullers, reelers, air and water systems.
• Assist all departments during equipment breakdowns.
• Perform tooling changes for the extrusion department as required by order changes.
• Use a volt meter to check and replace fuses, motor starters, relays, pumps, motors, and troubleshoot faulty electric circuits.
• Assist the general maintenance crew in equipment rebuilds, plant shutdowns, and new equipment installations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety requirements for the position.
• Perform any other duties as directed by management.

• Minimum of two years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to perform basic math and take measurements using appropriate tools.
• Capability to read and comprehend work instructions and safety documents.
• Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of power transmission equipment, bearings, gears, sprockets, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and pumps.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools including wrenches, torches, volt meters, drill press, and band saw.
• Electrical ability preferred.
• Familiarity with plumbing.
• Knowledge of state and local safety codes.

Competitive starting hourly wage: $25.00 per hour.
