CNC Horizontal Machinist; Setup & Operation - 2nd & 3rd Shift

EMC Precision, a trusted provider of complex parts since 1925, seeks an experienced HMC Operator to manage CNC manufacturing of precision components using Makino and DMG Mori Horizontal Machining Centers.

• Set‑up experience required.
• Perform first‑piece inspection after setup.
• Use various measuring instruments.
• Replace tooling and adjust tools to meet blueprint specifications.
• Recommend process improvements with supervisor or programming personnel to resolve problems.
• Operate multiple machines simultaneously.

• High School diploma/GED preferred; must pass background check and drug screen.
• Fluent in shop math.
• At least 5 years of shop experience.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area using 5S techniques.
• Responsible for daily upkeep and maintenance of equipment.
• Solid work history.
• Physical abilities: push, pull, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, stand, see, hear, speak, use motor coordination—eye, hand, foot, wrist, arms, fingers; kneel, stoop, bend, grip, climb stairs occasionally.
