Brown & Sharp Setup Operator

Responsibilities

We have an exciting opening for a Brown & Sharp Setup Operator in Elyria, OH. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC and manual brown and sharp machine centers.

Set up and operate C.N.C. and manual Brown and Sharp Machine Center. Sometimes requires multiple runs on machines simultaneously. Use a variety of precision measuring instruments. Requires continuous planning and judgment working with standards and methods via engineering. Must check own work according to print specifications and make necessary adjustments. Keep a clean, safe work area. Care is required to keep chips away from holding devices to maintain proper positioning.

Precision and close tolerances is a must.

Having access to supervision when needed, this skilled area is self‑directed, and many times must plan the work for the day and process accordingly, including ordering of raw materials from stock. Will instruct less qualified operators in set up and operation of C.N.C. and manual Brown and Sharp machines. Maintain the highest degree of quality, safety and cost reduction.

Perform these duties and others as requested.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ Years of experience setting up and operating brown & sharp machines.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Consistently meets or exceeds commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity required.
