Machinist Operator; 1st shift

Machinist Operator – 1st Shift (7am-3:30pm) – $25/hour

The Machinist will produce precision parts and modify parts to make or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines.

• Setup and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
• Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines.
• Machine parts to provided blueprint specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders.
• Verify conformance of machined parts to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks and dial indicators.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well‑organized workspace.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
• Reads and understands blueprints.
• Experience manufacturing cold head tooling preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.

• Work in a manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stand and walk for the majority of an 8 to 10‑hour day.
• Bend, lift product, equipment and tools up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
• Push or pull product up to 200 pounds.
• Use hand tools up to 20 pounds over extended periods of time.
