Machinist Operator; 1st shift

Machinist Operator

Location:

Elyria, Ohio.

Shift: 1st shift, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday.

Hourly rate: $25.00.

The Machinist will produce precision parts and modify parts to make or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines.

• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
• Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines.
• Machine parts to provided blueprint specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders.
• Verify conformance of machined parts to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks and dial indicators.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well‑organized workspace, following all health and safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Experience with manufacturing cold heading tooling preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Work in a manufacturing environment, standing and walking for the majority of an 8–10 hour shift.
• Bend, lift product, equipment and tools up to 50 lb during the day.
• Push or pull product up to 200 lb.
• Use hand tools up to 20 lb for extended periods.
