Disassembly/Reassembly Technician
About The Position
The Disassembly/Reassembly Technician plays a critical role in identifying concealed damage through a thorough disassembly process and reassembling the vehicle after repairs. The technician works closely with the Repair Planner to develop a complete repair estimate and ensures the vehicle is returned to the customer in excellent condition. This full‑time position operates Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and offers competitive pay, medical, vision, dental, PTO, continuing education, paid holidays, volunteer program, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, and other benefits.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform pre‑scanning of the vehicle.
- Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical/hydraulic equipment, body panels, trim, and other required parts.
- Micro‑bag all hardware and small parts.
- Build and organize the parts cart according to company standards.
- Take photos of complex wire routing, component assembly, and trim/emblem locations.
- Reassemble vehicles that have completed repairs.
- Perform light body repairs as needed.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Tools necessary to disassemble and reassemble vehicles.
- Understanding of automobiles.
- At least 1+ year of automotive shop experience.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.

Physical Requirements
- Periodic lifting and carrying objects over 50 pounds.
- Reaching above and below shoulder level.
- Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping to complete or inspect repairs.
- Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate equipment.
- May be exposed to repetitive tasks involving hand and arm motion.
- May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, high levels of dust, and noise in the repair center.
