Production Team Lead - 2nd shift

Position:
Production Team Lead - 2nd shift (4pm start)

Pay based on knowledge and experience.

• Assist the Production Supervisor in guiding and supporting team members
• Support the Supervisor in assigning tasks and ensuring team members have what they need
• Observe employee and equipment performance to ensure Quality and Productivity standards
• Communicate and collaborate with all other departments within the Foundry to support smooth operations
• Provide hands‑on assistance and jump in to help production as needed
• Look for ways to decrease waste and increase efficiency for the department and associates
• Support workplace policy and procedure to promote a safe and healthy work environment by leading by example and reporting concerns to the Supervisor or Leadership
• Train new hires and current employees in department processes/procedures and in the operation of machines and equipment
• Foster positive employee morale and teamwork
• Perform other duties as required

• Good coordination and attention to detail
• General knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses and maintenance as well as using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions
• Effective leadership
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or foundry industries
• High school diploma or GED is preferred

• Handle moving objects: using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning and moving materials
• Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
• Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials
• Indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs

Full Time. Hourly non‑exempt.
