CNC Machinist

Job details:

Salary: $25 - $35 per hour

My client is a leading manufacturer who is growing! They are looking to add a CNC Machinist to their first shift (7am-3:30pm)

Compensation Up To $35/hr

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
• Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.
• Test operation of machines periodically to guarantee their smooth running.
• Maintain machinery, keep records of run times, and perform routine checks on output.
• Perform safety inspections and follow safety rules and regulations.
• Collaborate with the team to improve processes and achieve team objectives.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a CNC machinist.
• Proficient in G-Code programming and Mastercam software.
• Experience with 5 Axis and Mill machines.
• Strong understanding of blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. A degree from a technical school is preferred.
• Certification or training as a CNC operator is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy objects as necessary.
