Branch Sales Manager – Elyria, Ohio (
Location:
151 Keep Court, Elyria, Ohio 44035). Tru Green is seeking an experienced, results‑driven leader to manage sales activities within one or more assigned branches, expand the local customer base, and drive profitability.
- Develop comprehensive branch‑level sales plans and forecasts.
- Maintain rigorous control over sales outcomes to meet objectives within budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate in the execution of marketing programs (door‑to‑door, direct mail, inside/outside marketing) to grow services and profits.
- Generate sales leads through lists, direct mail campaigns, community events, trade shows, and other sources; provide support in closing sales.
- Address customer complaints and manage new sale cancellation requests to retain customers.
- Organize and conduct ongoing training for sales personnel on customer service, selling techniques, and safety policies.
- Establish and oversee work procedures, create schedules, and facilitate workflow to optimize efficiency.
- Monitor and report on hourly, daily, and weekly sales performance of team members.
- Develop, implement, and maintain performance standards, measurements, and corrective strategies.
- Lead recruiting, interviewing, and staffing of 10 or more peak sales representatives; evaluate performance, provide salary recommendations, and enforce disciplinary actions per company policies.
- Bachelor’s degree or 2–3 years of experience in lawn/horticulture/agronomic field (or equivalent education/experience).
- Proven experience in sales and strong leadership/team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in sales analytics and CRM tools; ability to calculate discounts, commissions, percentages, and volume.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; present information effectively to managers, specialists, and customers.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics; ability to define customer problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, adaptability, and flexibility.
- Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Travel to all door‑to‑door routes within the market; must be physically located in the United States while performing this job.
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and arms to handle or reach, speak, hear, and use close vision. Occasionally required to lift or move up to 25 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Compensation & BenefitsPay range: $52,234.00 – $87,056.00 (based on qualifications). Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance and company‑matching 401(k) plans.
