Part Time Campus Security Officer

Reporting to the Director of Campus Security, Officers work eight hour shifts (8:00 am to 4:00 pm, 4:00 pm to 12:00 am, and 12:00 am to 8:00 am) with a concentration of these shifts being on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Officers provide: security service for college students, faculty and staff as well as facilities, equipment and grounds; a 24-hour security presence on campus by patrolling buildings, parking lots, and roadways;

monitoring of the fire and camera system, and other functions as necessary. Campus Security is a non-commissioned position.

Required Qualifications:

High school graduate with at least one-year prior experience in law enforcement (military, police, fire, security, corrections, or auxiliaries); ability to communicate effectively both orally and written; ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; ability to accomplish/perform tasks with minimal supervision; ability to perform duties in inclement weather; able to work the specified schedule; computer literate; possess clean driving record and valid Ohio driver’s license;

CPR and AED certifications (or ability to obtain shortly after hire).
