** The Job:
** As a Field Service Technician, you’ll be part of our Nelson Stud Welding & Fastening team working as an onsite employee.  You’ll get to:
* Troubleshoot, maintain, modify, and repair Nelson Stud Welding systems, including power sources, accessories and field diesel units.
* Troubleshoot, maintain, modify, and repair customer equipment.
* Assist customers in person and via the telephone with equipment, accessory, and technical problems.
* Assist sales representatives with equipment, accessory and technical problems.
* Perform in-house training and demonstrations for both internal and external customers.
* Weld samples for sales representatives and customers.
* Perform as a boiler outage service technician as required.
* Perform cycle counts as directed.
* Perform shipping and receiving responsibilities when required.
* Complete company deliveries to various customer/warehouse locations as needed.
* Maintain a clean, neat and safe working environment.
* Occasionally perform general building maintenance.

* Associate degree (A.S./A.A.S.) or 6 months to 1year related experience and/or training
* Ability to read, write and interpret documents including but not limited to, complex technical documents, electrical schematics and procedure manuals.
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
* Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, fractions, area, circumference, and volume.
* Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
