Apprentice Carpenter (Residential & Light Commercial)

Pay: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level

We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Carpenter with 1–2 years of residential construction experience to assist in residential and light commercial construction and restoration projects. This role is ideal for individuals who already have basic field experience and are looking to grow their skills alongside experienced carpenters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist carpenters with framing, drywall, trim, and general construction tasks
Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to specifications
Support installation of doors, windows, cabinetry, and other fixtures
Perform demolition and job site preparation as needed
Load, unload, and transport materials and tools
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
Follow blueprints, instructions, and company standards
Adhere to all safety policies and OSHA regulations

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
At least 1–2 years of residential construction experience required
Basic understanding of carpentry methods, materials, and job site practices
Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math accurately
Familiarity with hand and power tools
Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Must be able to pass a background check, in accordance with applicable laws
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and positive attitude

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50–75 lbs. regularly
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing
Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and uneven surfaces
Use of hands for handling tools and materials with good dexterity
Ability to work in confined spaces when required
Tolerance for working in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
Ability to perform physically demanding labor for extended periods

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Residential homes and light commercial construction sites
Indoor and outdoor work in varying environmental conditions
Exposure to dust, noise, and construction materials
Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
