Mentor a child in your community today! With Big Brothers Big Sisters, a community based volunteer fosters a mentoring friendship with an area at risk youth in the hopes of helping that child reach their full potential. This program requires interested participants to undergo an interview with our trained staff so we can get to know you and match you with the best youth!
You will be matched based on shared histories and common interests. Once matched, you will meet with your "little' twice a month, doing whatever it is you enjoy doing together. This can include going out to eat, going to the park, playing sports, arts and crafts, gardening, games, and more.
Mentorship is a powerful, proven way to help young people stay on a positive path—reducing the likelihood of risky behaviors like drug use and involvement in the justice system. It also builds self-confidence and encourages stronger, healthier relationships. We have hundreds of children on our waitlist right now hoping to be matched!
