Senior Accountant
Emeryville, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
LHH is partnering with a growing and dynamic organization in Emeryville to bring on a Senior Accountant. This role is ideal for a hands‑on accounting professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys digging into the details while contributing to process improvements and overall financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support key components of the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances, partnering with internal teams to provide insights
- Oversee and review inventory‑related accounting, including store-level reconciliations
- Apply US GAAP guidance to complex transactions and ensure compliance with internal policies
- Prepare audit schedules and support documentation for internal and external audit requirements
- Assist with SOX compliance and maintain organized, audit‑ready records
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhanced reporting efficiency
- Support ad hoc reporting, projects, and cross‑functional initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting background preferred
- CPA strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team‑oriented approach
Hourly pay range is $62.00 to $70.00 per hour, depending on experience.
