You may be just the right candidate for this or other open roles. We are seeking a Facilities Engineer II to support and optimize critical facility systems across our Emeryville campus.
This role partners closely with Operations, Pilot Plant, R&D, Facilities, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to ensure facility infrastructure operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. The Facilities Engineer II will provide technical support for site utilities and infrastructure, manage facility improvement projects, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve reliability, sustainability, compliance, and cost efficiency.
- This is a fully onsite role based in Emeryville, CA.
- Provide technical support for facility systems, utilities, equipment, and infrastructure across the Emeryville site.
- Work closely with Pilot Plant personnel, critical systems personnel, Project Engineers, R&D personnel, and engineering consultants to support projects.
- Provide on-the-floor technical troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, technical reports, presentations, system specifications, and user requirements.
- Conduct technical reviews and generate risk assessments as needed.
- Support facility systems including HVAC, temperature control systems, air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, fire protection systems, boilers and steam generation, mechanical controls, vacuum systems, and critical environment systems.
- Analyze, develop, improve, and maintain operating mechanical processes to safely function within process specifications.
- Evaluate mechanical, thermal, and electromechanical systems and ensure system quality and reliability.
- Support equipment procurement activities, including bid packages, requisitions, and vendor interaction.
- Support the design, installation, and integration of new systems into existing site infrastructure.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure installations meet design requirements and applicable standards.
- Manage small projects to support site operations and facility functionality.
- Establish and maintain maintenance strategies, practices, and processes to support reliable asset performance.
- Ensure maintenance programs comply with internal and external standards and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with engineering, maintenance, service providers, and client groups to support maintenance programs and practices.
- Assist with maintenance activities and PM program execution.
- Develop and perform technical training programs for technicians.
- Comply with Health and Safety mandates, OSHA requirements, and site safety programs.
