As a Senior Manager of Finance, you will join an established community-focused organization that develops and manages affordable housing and neighborhood development initiatives while supporting thousands of residents and families through a broad range of community programs. This individual will serve as a key financial leader supporting housing development, real estate finance, acquisitions, capital planning, financial forecasting, and enterprise-wide decision-making. This person reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and partners closely with leaders in housing development, property management, accounting, and executive leadership. The Senior Finance Manager will also provide leadership and mentorship to finance professionals in the Affordable Housing Development and Real Estate department, while collaborating with lenders, investors, consultants, public agencies, and development partners to support project success across the affordable housing portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead financial planning and analysis for affordable housing and real estate development initiatives from acquisition through long-term operations.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models, development pro formas, cash flow projections, operating forecasts, and project budgets.
  • Evaluate project feasibility, investment performance, financing alternatives, and strategic growth opportunities.
  • Manage complex capital structures involving tax credit equity, public funding programs, construction financing, grants, and long-term debt.
  • Support housing development teams with financial guidance throughout planning, construction, stabilization, and permanent financing activities.
  • Oversee portfolio budgeting, forecasting, compliance reporting, lender reporting, and audit preparation.
  • Partner with development, property management, accounting, and executive leadership teams to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Strengthen financial systems, reporting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiencies.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop finance staff while promoting knowledge sharing, professional growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with investors, lenders, government agencies, consultants, and other external stakeholders.
  • Monitor project risks, budget variances, funding requirements, and financial performance while recommending solutions that support organizational goals.
  • Participate in strategic planning efforts and provide financial insight for new initiatives, expansion opportunities, and organizational priorities.
