About The JobWe’re looking for a highly detail-oriented Ecommerce Operations, Catalog & Reporting Specialist to keep running smoothly behind the scenes. This role owns product catalog setup and Shopify imports from VLP/line sheets, manages launch readiness checklists, coordinates with Content to ensure imagery is delivered on time, supports merchandising execution, and runs recurring reports for the ecommerce lead. You’ll also be tech‑proficient and mindful of our automation ecosystem (Shopify Flow + MESA), ensuring catalog changes don’t break critical workflows.
You must be based in or willing to move to Los Angeles to be considered for this position.
- Maintain and organize product data from VLP/line sheets and translate it into Shopify‑ready imports
- Build and QA products in Shopify: titles, variants, pricing, compare‑at, SKU/UPC, taxonomy, tags, collections, metafields/metaobjects, SEO fields, redirects
- Ensure data hygiene and consistency across attributes (fit, fabric, color, collection, season, gender, etc.)
- Own import workflows (CSV + bulk editor tools), QA after import, and fix edge cases
- Own a launch checklist and timeline, working with Content to ensure product imagery is shot, delivered, and complete before launch
- Ensure product images are optimized for conversion: correct ordering, consistent cropping/aspect ratios, compression/format, filenames, alt text
- Perform pre‑ and post‑launch QA: PDP completeness, correct imagery, pricing accuracy, variant availability, size charts, and merchandising placement
- Run daily/weekly reports for the ecommerce lead: best sellers, low stock, size sell‑through, inventory risk, new arrivals performance, category/collection summaries
- Support basic GA4 reporting needs (pulling standard reports, assisting with funnel snapshots, flagging anomalies to the senior)
- Assist with merchandising execution in Shopify: collection ordering, badges, featured placements, cross‑sell collection maintenance
- Understand key Shopify Flow and MESA automations and the required tags/metafields that power them
- QA that new products/tags/metafields align with automation rules; help troubleshoot exceptions
- Maintain a simple automation reference doc (triggers, dependencies, common failure modes)
- Build a clean product setup process and “source of truth” sheet template for imports
- Reduce launch errors through checklists and QA
- Deliver consistent reporting cadence (including GA4 pulls) that supports trading decisions
- Establish safe procedures for changes that interact with Flow/MESA automations
- Advanced Google Sheets / Excel skills (xlookup/vlookup, index-match, pivot tables, query/filter, data validation; comfortable with CSV imports/exports)
- Strong Shopify admin experience, including bulk editing and product/variant setup
- Working proficiency in GA4 (able to pull ecommerce performance views, basic funnel checks, and troubleshoot obvious anomalies with guidance)
- Extremely detail‑oriented with strong QA instincts and follow‑through
- Tech‑proficient and able to learn/maintain operational automations
- Experience with Algolia merchandising/search operations (synonyms, collections, search relevance support)
- Experience with catalog feeds (Google Merchant Center / Meta catalog) and basic troubleshooting
- Familiarity with image optimization best practices for ecommerce
- Experience with Shopify Flow, MESA, or similar workflow automation tools
- 15 days PTO, and 9 days sick pay annually
- Paid holidays
- Health, dental, and vision insurance with 75% premium coverage by Madhappy
- Retirement plans…
