Description

A well-established, carrier-side insurance litigation and coverage firm is seeking a contract-to-hire Remote Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys substantive law & motion work and wants a clear path toward expanded litigation and trial exposure. Role Overview

During the contract period, this attorney will primarily handle:

+ Drafting and arguing law & motion (demurrers, motions to dismiss, summary judgment, coverage motions)

+ Legal research and coverage analysis

+ Preparing coverage opinions and strategy memoranda

+ Supporting litigation strategy on complex insurance matters

Upon conversion, the role will expand to include:

+ Greater client interaction

+ Increased deposition and hearing participation

+ Trial exposure

Requirements

Required:

+ Active California Bar license and 3+ years of insurance coverage experience.

+ Strong motion drafting skills

+ Excellent legal research and analytical abilities

+ Ability to manage deadlines independently in a fully remote setting

Preferred:

+ Experience analyzing insurance policies and claim files

+ Trial preparation or courtroom exposure
