Strategic Sourcing Manager, Indirect Contractor

For our client, we are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager Indirect Contractor to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. This role will manage sourcing and supplier priorities that improve value, reliability, and operational performance. You will partner with finance, operations, legal, and business stakeholders to negotiate effectively, manage vendors, and support better purchasing decisions.

The position offers the opportunity to improve cost discipline, supplier performance, and the processes that support scalable execution within a consumer-facing environment.

Location:

Emeryville, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $228,800 – $249,600 annually

• Oversee sourcing processes for various indirect product categories
• Develop and negotiate contracts; collaborate with Legal Counsel for approvals
• Execute competitive bid events and manage supplier performance
• Analyze complex supplier proposals and present recommendations to management
• Identify savings opportunities and drive cost-saving initiatives within the department
• Coach and mentor Buyers to enhance departmental capabilities
• Manage day-to-day supplier relationship issues regarding pricing and product availability

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; MBA preferred
• 5+ years of sourcing experience in large organizations
• Strong negotiation skills with knowledge of contract language
• Experience in developing strategic supplier alliances, preferably in QSR or retail
• Excellent analytical skills and adept in project management
