Plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in an elementary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic, social, and emotional potential within the job assignment.

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a content area, grade level, or related discipline.
• A current Idaho Teaching Certification with appropriate endorsement.
• Demonstrated ability to accomplish the duties and responsibilities listed below.

• Plan and implement an instructional program that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students, consistent with the District's approved curriculum and teaching methodology.
• Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum, department, school, and District goals.
• Establish and maintain open lines of communication and cooperative relations with administrators, students, parents, and colleagues.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students within the limits of resources provided by the District.
• Establish clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects; communicate these objectives to students; produce written evidence of preparation upon request of the immediate supervisor.
• Implement Idaho State Standards into classroom practice.
• Use instructional materials adopted by the District and employ methods that are most appropriate for meeting objectives and targeting Idaho State Standards.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.
• Attend staff meetings; participate in Professional Learning Communities; serve on staff committees to plan instructional goals, objectives, and methods; assist in the selection of instructional equipment and materials.
• Take necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities; be responsible for knowledge of school evacuation procedures and lock‑down procedures; implement those procedures independently in emergency situations.
• Communicate with staff, parents, district personnel, and others in a positive and encouraging manner.
• Know and follow school policy and the chain of command.
• Act ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.
• Perform such district‑related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

The employment period shall be for 190 days as indicated by the school calendar.
