Senior Civil Design Engineer​/Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• Develop and QAQC plans for site development and public improvement projects.
• Coordinate and complete day‑to‑day workflow on assigned projects, including project studies, reports, calculations, and other similar design‑related assignments.
• Meet and correspond with the KVE team, clients, and project stakeholders.
• Serve as a mentor and provide guidance to less experienced staff.
• Work with an internal project team of design engineers, intern engineers, surveyors, geotechnical engineers, and drafting technicians to deliver project outcomes in line with client schedules and budgets.
• Collaborate with planners, architects, landscape architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers and other external stakeholders.
• Prepare project budgets and proposals, manage projects, invoice clients, ensure client satisfaction, and support client base development.

• BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Professional Engineering license in the State of KS or MO, or the ability to obtain a license in these states within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience managing and navigating the completion of projects, with consulting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D is required.
• Experience in municipal engineering policy and procedures is a plus.
• Experience must include proficiency in site planning, grading design, drainage design, erosion control, storm water pollution prevention design, and utility design (including private connections and public storm, sanitary, and water main extensions).
