LYCO Detention Officer

The Lyon County Detention Center is now accepting applications for full time DETENTION OFFICERS. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits including paid time off and health, dental, vision, and life insurance. Salary starts at $22.04/hr.

Detention Officers will ensure efficient and lawful operation of the Detention Center by processing incoming and outgoing inmates, transporting inmates, supervising visitations, and other tasks relating to maintaining the safety of staff and residents of the facility. Applicants must be 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to pass a background investigation and polygraph examination.

Successful candidate(s) will be required to pass pre-employment tests including a background check, pre-employment physical, pre-employment work screen and pre-employment drug screen.
