Schedule

Rotating 12‑hour shifts, 6 pm–6 am.

Compensation

$19.15.

Essential Functions
  • Operate a lift truck by driving backwards and twisting to look in the direction of travel on a continual basis.
  • Operate a lift truck all shift.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning or recharging batteries, and refer defects or repairs to supervisor/maintenance.
  • Move controls to drive lift trucks and transport materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas.
  • Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, e.g., forklifts, lift beams, swivel‑hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
  • Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
  • Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
  • Reliable attendance for scheduled shifts.
  • Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Material Handler Functional Categories – Receiving
  • Unloads products from tractor‑trailers and rail containers (manually and with equipment).
  • Verifies product received is identified and counted accurately.
  • Inspects condition of received product, remove damaged or non‑conforming products.
  • Process defective product as per standard operating procedure.
  • Scan pallet barcode using RF equipment.
  • Move and place product safely and securely in its proper storage location using heavy equipment.
Material Handler Functional Categories – Stager/Order Picker
  • Receives and evaluates printed order for order selection and preparation requirements.
  • Fill orders by accurately picking product from storage areas utilizing pre‑determined product stacking guidelines.
  • Use scanning device and computer as needed to ensure order accuracy.
  • Correct shortages, over‑counts and incorrect batch codes as needed.
Material Handler Functional Categories – Truck Loader
  • Move products from staging areas and/or directly from storage into trailer.
  • Inspect trucks for quality and sanitary requirements.
  • Verify markings, trailer numbers, and shipping documents.
  • Fill truck using designated loading patterns and guidelines.
  • Properly secure the load for travel.

Position Qualifications – Skills & Abilities
  • Education:

    High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Experience:

    One to two years of related experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Computer

    Skills:

    Basic scanner technology.
  • Certificates & Licenses:
    Valid State Driver’s License;
    Forklift Certification preferred.
