Senior Accountant

Description

A growing healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, month-end close, and accounting operations. This role will work closely with leadership and play an important role in maintaining financial accuracy while helping improve accounting processes.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where collaboration and accountability are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Close

+ Lead month-end and year-end close activities

+ Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations

+ Review general ledger transactions and financial reporting schedules

+ Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis

+ Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures

Process Improvement & Analysis

+ Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives

+ Assist with audit preparation and external reporting requirements

+ Analyze financial results and investigate variances

+ Recommend and implement process improvements where appropriate

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

+ 4+ years of progressive accounting experience required

+ Healthcare or multi-entity accounting experience preferred

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

+ Advanced Excel skills required

+ CPA designation or CPA track preferred

+

Experience with ERP systems such as Net Suite, Oracle, or Sage Intacct preferred
