The Encinitas Union School District (EUSD) is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and student-centered individuals to join our team as an Instructional Assistant, Specialized Care II (IASC II) supporting students in grades K-6 within the Special Day Class (SDC) program at Park Dale Lane Elementary School. In this important role, you will support students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional growth while helping create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will promote student independence, implement individualized supports, assist with data collection and analysis, and help foster meaningful inclusion opportunities throughout the school day. Work Schedule:

32.5 hours per week;
Monday through Friday; 6.5 hours per day Salary placement dependent upon experience; up to 6 years of work experience in the same or comparable classification is taken into consideration for salary placement. For those who do not have at least 48 semester units or a AA Degree, we will hold the ESSA testing at the district office. Please call to  Ext.

NOTE:

This posting may be closed before 6/14/2026 based on applicant pool/district needs. Successful candidates will be required to pass a fingerprint background check, physical examination, drug screening, and provide proof of a negative Tuberculin Skin Test prior to employment with Encinitas Union School District. The District will cover the cost of fingerprinting, physical examination, and drug screening. The TB test is at the applicant's expense.
