- Possession of a valid California CTE credential in Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation
- OR qualify for a CTE credential through experience/coursework:
- 3 years of industry experience (paid or unpaid) – at least 1 year must be hands‑on
- Some of that experience must be recent (1 year in the last 5 years, or 2 years in the last 10 years)
- Up to 2 years of the requirement can be met through relevant coursework (24 semester units = 1 year)
- Advanced industry certification can count for 1 year
- High School Diploma or equivalent.

$71,571 to $103,136 (To start yearly based on full‑time assignment. Part‑time assignments will be prorated).
