Instructional Assistant – General Education
Capri Elementary School is seeking a positive, energetic, and student-centered Instructional Assistant – General Education to provide additional support to students in grades K–6 during lunchtime for the 2026–2027 school year. Under the direction of certificated staff, the Instructional Assistant will help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging lunchtime environment by facilitating structured student activities such as games, arts and crafts, and a book club.
The Instructional Assistant will encourage positive peer interactions, support student engagement, and help foster a welcoming school culture where all students feel connected and successful. The ideal candidate demonstrates patience, creativity, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for working with elementary-age students. The ability to build positive relationships with students and promote respectful behavior in a fun and supportive setting is essential.
Please Note:
Due to the annual allocation of funding, this is a temporary, one-year assignment for the 2026–2027 school year.
Work Schedule:
August 11, 2026 through June 9, 2027
Hours:
10 hours per week Monday – Thursday: 10:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. Salary placement dependent upon experience; up to 6 years of work experience in the same or comparable classification is taken into consideration for salary placement. This position is for the school year; however, depending on funding, may continue for additional years. No Health and Welfare benefits offered.
EUSD is located in North San Diego County along the coast. It serves nine (9) Kindergarten through sixth grade schools, and one (1) pre-school for students with special needs. District's Vision:
