Job Description

Experience: Mid Level

Salary: $54,000 - $65,000 per year

• Process customer deposits, withdrawals, transfers and other daily teller transactions
• Handle cashier’s checks, loan payments, stop payments and account inquiries
• Assist customers with debit card and online banking questions
• Process domestic, international and foreign currency wire requests
• Perform cash verification and assist with branch cash-related responsibilities
• Provide support with opening new consumer and business accounts
• Complete account maintenance and customer service requests
• Conduct OFAC, Biz Chex and Chex Systems inquiries
• Follow BSA/AML, CIP, OFAC and other banking compliance requirements
• Assist with branch opening and closing procedures as needed
• Develop relationships with both business and consumer banking customers
• Work closely with other members of the branch and broader banking team

• 2+ years of branch banking experience preferred
• Teller, Universal Banker, Personal Banker, Relationship Banker or similar experience
• Strong experience processing deposits, withdrawals and other banking transactions
• Previous new account opening experience preferred
• Experience working with business accounts is a plus
• Knowledge of basic branch banking procedures and regulations
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Comfortable handling cash and working within established banking controls
• Ability to work with both automated and manual banking processes

We are seeking an experienced Universal Banker to join the Encinitas branch of a relationship-focused commercial bank. This role is ideal for someone with a strong teller or branch banking background who is comfortable handling daily transactions while also supporting new accounts, account servicing, wires and both business and consumer customers.

This position is open due to an internal move within the bank and offers an opportunity to continue building experience across branch operations in a smaller, highly collaborative banking environment.
