- Availability based on when massages are requested
- Provides therapeutic human touch to members and participants
- Create a comfortable and professional environment for members and participants
- Maintains equipment in good working condition and performs housekeeping duties to keep massage area clean
- Obtains and maintains required certification and proper licensing related to massage therapy
- Provides courteous, prompt, and sincere attention to all members and participants
- Respond to and communicates, member concerns, and feedback in a timely manner
- Follow and enforce appointment schedule and cancellation policy
- Excellent customer service skills
- Enthusiastic about working as part of a team
- Effective communication skills
- Other duties as assigned
- 1+ year’s of Massage experience required
- State Board Certification (CAMTC) or local Massage Therapy License required
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position including walking, standing, bending, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds at a time
- Licensing, state law and our government funders require that staff within YMCA of San Diego County be fingerprinted, prior to reporting to work, and includesubsequentarrest notifications
- CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within
30 daysofhireand must be from one of the following certifying organizations:- American Red Cross
- American Heart Association
- American Safety & Health Institute
