Summary
Assistant F&B Manager assists in managing full‑service food and beverage outlets on a daily basis and coordinates special events. May be responsible for staffing, scheduling and training of staff. Our Assistant F&B managers are friendly, warm, professional, engaging and enjoy working in a luxury environment. They should be comfortable leading a team and have prior experience working in a full‑service restaurant setting.

Temporary position with the anticipated end date of September 5, 2026 and possibility for extension of the assignment.
Core Functions- Adhere to Hyatt Hotels Corporation guidelines and core values to ensure the health, safety and comfort of our colleagues and guests.
- Floor management – responsible for “running the floor” during service. This includes guiding and coaching the staff, solving guest complaints, and ensuring that we are providing excellent service.
- Ongoing training of hourly staff members.
- Accurately and timely comply with completing payroll, including meeting deadlines of having schedules finalized, submitting proper documentation, reviewing time edits, and submitting payroll and charged tips to the payroll/human resources department.
- Assisting with administrative work – placing orders, paying invoices, organizing stockrooms, scheduling staff, and various other tasks.
- Staying up to date on our food and beverage offerings, as well as local and national trends.
- Interacting with guests within our establishment as well as before and after their visit. This can include responding to online comments and/or social media.
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
- Oversee the banquets department.
- Assist with Banquets set up and tear down.
- Supports and manages the Events Department while working closely with the Director of Restaurants, Bars and Events and other hotel departments. Leadership responsibilities may also include convention services set up and banquet beverage.
- Responsible for short and long term banquet functions in the front and back of the house.
- Responsible for providing support and floor coverage in all F&B outlets as needed, during slower banquet/event periods.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Prior experience working in a full‑service, fine dining restaurant with a passion for delivering unforgettable experiences and a desire to grow their career in hospitality (preferred).
- Solid understanding of food and beverage operations.
- General understanding of liquor, wine, and beer products. Certifications in any of these areas are a plus.
- General knowledge of food product and cooking techniques.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Micros Symphony POS system.
- Skillful in project planning and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Highly organized and efficient, proactive and results driven, with the ability to adapt and demonstrate flexibility. Leads by example and with integrity.
- Excellent communicator and team motivator. Business‑like, socially engaged, passionate, expressive, and demonstrating a positive attitude.
- Frequent:
Sitting, standing, walking throughout property, working on a computer, typing, filing, climbing stairs, and interacting with guests (speaking, listening, writing). - Occasional:
Lifting, pushing, and pulling guest luggage, boxes, and property equipment. Occasional stooping and bending.
This position is expected to reasonably pay $72,000 per year.
